I am a self employed software engineer and free and open source software enthusiast. As an altruist I enjoy making the world a better place, having fun and learning in the process. Hence my involvement with MediaWiki, the software the powers Wikipedia and many other wikis. I have been programming since 2008 in various environments and am currently familiar with about a dozen languages. I successfully participated in Google Summer of Code 2009 and 2010 as a student and in GSoC 2011 and 2012 as a co-mentor. All my recent work is freely available on the web, so you can Google me to find projects I've worked on next to the ones listed on this page. |

Wikidata I am one of the developers working on Wikidata, which aims to create a free knowledge base about the world that can be read and edited by humans and machines alike. It will provide data in all the languages of the Wikimedia projects, and allow for the central access to data in a similar vein as Wikimedia Commons does for multimedia files. |
