I am a self employed software engineer and free and open source software enthusiast. My goal is to make the world a better place, having fun and learning in the process. Hence my involvement with MediaWiki, the software the powers Wikipedia and many other wikis. I have been programming since 2008 in various environments and am currently familiar with about a dozen languages. I successfully participated in Google Summer of Code 2009 and 2010 as a student and in GSoC 2011 as a co-mentor. All my recent work is freely available on the web, so you can Google me to find projects I've worked on next to the ones listed on this page. |

MediaWiki I've been contributing to MediaWiki, which powers Wikipedia and is the most widely used wiki software, since summer 2009, and am currently in the top 5 of all time contributors. I'm doing contracted work for the Wikimedia Foundation, WikiWorks and other MediaWiki related organizations or companies as well as volunteer work. I'm best known for creating the Maps and Semantic Maps extensions. More info can be found on my MediaWiki.org user page |

Semantic MediaWiki I've been contributing to Semantic MediaWiki, which brings the power of the semantic web to MediaWiki, and various SMW related extensions since early 2010 and am currently one of the most active developers.
